Target To Open New Store In Ivy City

Target announced Monday it signed for 67K sqft at the corner of New York Avenue and 16th Street NE and plans to open in fall 2020

The company describes it as one of its small-format stores, though it will be significantly larger than the 24,700 SF store it is opening in Cleveland Park in spring 2019 and the 42K SF store coming to Ballston in 2021. Target has also opened the urban-style stores in Bethesda, College Park and Rosslyn. 

The store will also include a CVS Pharmacy and a Starbucks. It would offer fresh produce, snacks and other food items, plus beer and wine.
